Mannlíf visits one of Iceland's finest distilleries
Mannlíf told the story of Hovdenak Distillery: founded on 11 October 2018 by Hákon Freyr and Brynja Hjaltalín, and in its own premises in Hafnarfjörður since April 2019.
Hákon renovated the building himself and designed and installed the equipment, which the magazine described as among the most advanced in the country.
By then Stuðlaberg had won gold at the World Gin Awards and in Switzerland and 94 points from International Drinks Specialists. Loki Vodka had won gold in Switzerland with 95 points, Rökkvi gold at the world liqueur championship and Hvítserkur rum 94 points.
Rökkvi and Loki were being served on board the French cruise line Ponant, the distillery offered tours and tastings, and it had begun working with Mannlíf on the cooking series „Þarf alltaf að vera vín?“.
