A packed house for Þristur at Oche
Hovdenak Distillery celebrated the arrival of the chocolate liqueur Þristur in Vínbúðin with a launch party at Oche in Reykjavík – with tasting, toasts and darts.
Hákon Freyr said the turnout had been a pleasant surprise and that people had long been waiting for a proper chocolate liqueur. International Drinks Specialists gave Þristur 97 points – the highest score it had ever given.
Production was running most of the week ahead of Christmas, and a new machine was set to increase capacity tenfold. More cream liqueurs could follow.
