The rapper Herra Hnetusmjör announced his own club in the middle of a song in the summer of 2019, and named it after his beloved postcode: 203, Kópavogur – a Kópavogur outpost in the heart of 101. 203 Club opened on the upper floor of Austurstræti 3, above the kebab shop by Ingólfstorg, as a modern hip-hop bar with Versace wallpaper and a proper stage for anyone who heard their own track and felt the urge to jump up. Herra Hnetusmjör stepped away from the business in June 2022, and the club closed on 7 October that year; the club Exit opened in the same space soon after.
