Bryggjan Brugghús opened on 5 November 2015 on the ground floor of the CCP building at Grandagarður 8, out on Grandi – a brewpub with its own brewery on site, a big bar seating around 120 and a fish-themed bistro seating about 150 on the other side of the house. It brewed its own lager, IPAs and seasonal beers, offered tastings and brewery tours, and for a decade was a favourite for office parties and big groups by the old harbour. The first operating company went bankrupt in April 2020 and the place carried on under new owners, but in January 2025 the doors were suddenly locked and the equipment removed; the second company was declared bankrupt that March.

The premises have stood empty since and were still for sale in October 2026
