Græna herbergið, 'the Green Room', was a small bar and stage on Lækjargata that briefly gave Reykjavík's alternative performers a home in the city centre. It became the first base of Reykjavík Kabarett, Margrét Erla Maack's burlesque-style mix of comedy, music and circus acts, whose shows there were so popular that the room was soon too small. The venue was only a year or two old when it went bankrupt in November 2017. Its closure came alongside that of the long-running Rosenberg on Klapparstígur, just as the city launched its Reykjavík Music City project to map and protect live venues.

Closed after bankruptcy in 2017.
