Hótel Oddeyri (Ólafsbaukur) (1884–1908) – Lost Tables
Ólafur Jónsson built Hótel Oddeyri on Strandgata in summer 1884, and locals soon nicknamed the timber house Ólafsbaukur. It served food and drink, beer and toddy included, had a billiard table, and held dances to harmonica music; Akureyri's first labour union was founded there in 1897.

After Ólafur's death his widow Anna Tómasdóttir took over and in 1905 expanded the hotel with new wings, carvings and two towers, so that it could take 60 guests. On the night of 18 October 1908 a fire spread from a neighbouring shop and both buildings burned down within about two hours; everyone escaped.
