Oliver was a café by day and a club by night on Laugavegur, and for about seven years one of the busier spots on the downtown weekend circuit of the boom years. It closed for good in January 2012.
Oliver was a café by day and a club by night on Laugavegur, and for about seven years one of the busier spots on the downtown weekend circuit of the boom years. It closed for good in January 2012. Its owner, together with partners from the nearby Vegamót, turned the space into a bar themed on the film The Big Lebowski, with a diner look, burgers and shakes. The result, Lebowski Bar, opened at the same address in 2012, so Oliver's crowd simply found a new costume.
Replaced in 2012 by the Big Lebowski-themed Lebowski Bar
