'Two friends and another on holiday' was a carpeted cellar bar on Laugavegur, complete with a karaoke machine and a widescreen TV, which by the mid-nineties had become the best place in town for bands to play. It was run by Ragnhildur, known as Hilla, who booked the shows herself.

Musicians remember it as more 'real rock' than Gaukur á Stöng, which leaned towards pub rock and chart pop, and it gave a whole generation of young guitar bands a stage. In the late 1990s the cellar was turned into the strip club Vegas, and the rock nights were over.
